I'm on my way for a conference in North Jutland, Denmark next week. In addition to the conference event, I'll have a few days in Aalborg and Copenhagen. Any experienced travelers here with suggestions for great photography sites in the area? :wink

I'm also interested in suggestions on what equipment to bring on this trip. In all likelihood, I'll never be in Denmark again, so I'd like to be prepared to take the best photos possible without lugging around too much stuff.
Right now, I'm planning to take the Canon 16-35 and a couple of fixed focal lengths (50 for indoor portraits, 135 because it's fast and versatile for a variety of indoor and outdoor shots). I am debating whether to bring a 70-300 IS or the 300 F/4 IS. For IQ in the 300 range, the 300 F/4 is by far the better lens but it's much heavier; for versatility, the 70-300. I'm also thinking of packing a light tripod, so may be planning to bring too much. My bad back is an issue but I'll have regular hotel access and a willing accomplice to share part of the load.
Any suggestions for street and North Jutland peninsula photography for an amateur bad-back photographer on a once-in-a-lifetime trip?

I went to Denmark a couple of years ago. We flew into Esbjerg and stayed at a friends holiday cottage in Blaavand on the West coast. Very flat & windy, with beautiful sandy beaches.
Have a look at this gallery for the shots from the trip. Hope that's some help

I'm leaving for Denmark in a couple of days. Anyone here with lens suggestions or great shooting sites you know in the area?

I'd say leave your 300 at home and take the rest.

I was leaning toward leaving the 300 at home and a good, light telephoto zoom makes the most sense to me.
I'll do a quick check of dpreview for the Danish posters.

yes, If I could only take one lens I would definitely take a wide angle, I SO regret that i didnt take my camera there and had to borrow a p&s from a friend for a couple of hours.. but i'll get a second chance - going there again in october.
Copenhagen is a beautiful city, i'm sure you will enjoy it and get some great shots from there too.
After a very busy summer, here are a few photos from my June trek to Denmark. So much to learn, so little time to process.

Hi,
can't see any pix, have you got the ext links option on for the gallery??

What's the difference between the "allow external links" and "share photo: links" commands? Maybe I'm confusing them.

Ahh I see them now, worth the wait too thumb
"share photo" allows you to view the various links for each of the available sizes and the gallery and acess them directly.
"allow ext links" allows you to embed those links into other sites such as this.
