    There are alot of layed foods out there.

    There is a middle east desert with honny and nuts made up of layers of pastry. Cant think of it name.

    Pizza was the first layer food I could think of. And besides it was Saturday night and I could not find my lasagne recipe.

    Bahklava is the layered Greek dessert you're thinking of.....I didn't see the whole lamina thing is this picture -- showed my husband and he instantly got it, I guess lamina is in the eye of the beholder!! Nice pic.
