nice shots, especially the 1st one. I've thought about trying similar types of shots, catching the windmills in action, as I drive I-10 towards Palm Springs/Indio. There are bunches out that way, and it's interesting how many different sizes/types of wind generators there are.
I live in Bakersfield and took that drive a couple months ago around the backside of Tehachapi. It was amazing to see all the windmills up close! I couldn't believe the size of them!

Very nice series, Erick. I love the color of the sky along with the shadows and lighting on the hillside in the 1st shot. Nice comp, too. That last shot has a very vintage look to it. Somehow it looks like it could have been taken years ago.
Really great shots. #1 is very good. I've always thought there was a shot of the wind generators in Altamont Pass near the Bay Area but could never find it. You did at Tehachapi. Really good work.

I know what you mean. What I like the most about these is that there are so many and often arranged in interesting patterns. Here's a shot where I tried to catch the action.... Thanks for the note!

It's really an interesting drive through Tehachapi. Next time I go I'll focus on the train loop. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks Saurora. I like the shadows and lighting on the first one also. That's what drew me to the scene. I'm glad you were able to get the sense of vintage from the 3rd. That's precisely what I was trying to convey.
Very striking. Nice balance, the shadows are great. Cool shot.
Thanks Sid. I appreciate your comments a lot. I think this is one of my better shots (not that it means much other than I'm still learning and I'm glad when I can improve).

Thank you! I've never been through the pass you mentioned before. I often visit San Jose/San Francisco. Where is it in relation to these cities?
Adam, David, and Christian: thanks for the comments. I really like the first one also and I've entered it in the "Power" monthly assignment at fredmiranda.com (http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/MA/). There are a lot of great entries in these but I figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks again!!

Thanks Antonio!
Thanks Adrian...I appreciate your feedback. I got the tone using a Cokin X124 graduated filter.
Cool! Does he work for one of the windmill companies?
Thanks Cinda! I was trying to show 3 different styles. I'm glad you liked them.

It's out the 580 towards Stockton or Modesto. Google map
I've made the drive through there many times. It's always fun to go through.
