Lincoln with a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR

Somebody asked me if the new Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR lens could see Lincoln in the memorial on the back of a penny. I tried it, and here

    That's one of the lenses I'm looking at... arrrgh.. my budget is definitely not as big as wish list needs it to be!

    Here's a quick snap from a much cheaper macro lens. It's the Phoenix 100mm f3.5. The build quality is nowhere near the Nikon, but for $149.00 it does a pretty good job. I forgot to reset the ISO on the camera... Oops.
