The bucks around here are starting to get their antlers. I tried to get this buck in good light but only partially succeded. The light was spotty and I swear he would only run when going through the well lit patches. Hope you like em.

Excellent deer shots Nick (they are tough to shoot). You handled the lighting very well.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks for looking everyone. I'm still trying to get a shot of a fawn with mom but it's proving more difficult than I thought.

Love the shots! Very well done. Kind'a reminds me of the area I grew up in (South-Central Montana, Billings, Red Lodge, etc)

Love the first shot the most! And, like Harry said, you did real good with the light! No hot spots and the deer came out well exposed!

Thanks for the compliments Scott. I would love to compare it to Montana, hopefully I'll get there some day. This was shot in the suburbs of Chicago. There aren't that many praries left and the few still standing are pretty small but when the wildflowers are blooming and the animals are out they really can't be beat.

Great shots, Nick! I think you did very well with the lighting. The area is very pretty and green. I like the shot of the buck running with the "flag" in the air! It's amazing the wildlife you can find practically in your own back yard no matter where you might live. thumb.gif

Thanks saurora. Before I got into photography I never new the abundance of wildlife in the area. I guess I just needed to open my eyes.
