Well, I've finally made it home after my Route 66 and Run For The Wall motorcycle trip. Better than a month on the road with many tales to tell.

As always, your comments and suggestions are welcomed.

To view the EXIF data, just click the image.

I don't remember who pointed me in the right direction for this photo, but I would like to thank them.

This is beside the Hackberry General Store in Arizona on Historic Route 66.

This is an old truck at Cool Springs, Arizona.

This last one for now was taken in Carthage, Missouri. My ride is shown in the foreground. It was about 8,000 miles for the total trip.

I have loads of photos to process from both Route 66 and the Run For The wall. Just wanted to put something up so let everyone know that I am back. I'll probably be in Photoshop for the next 2-3 weeks.

your first one should be in a book!

Really nice! Love the color, texture, and compositions. Reminds me of scenes in the new animated movie _Cars_ that I saw last weekend. If you see it, you'll know what I mean.

P.S. Where you on the Wing? Nice way to take in the scenery!

Thank you, Lisa. I'm processing some more tonight. There is another angle of the Hackberry shot that I also like which I will probably get to tomorrow sometime.

Regarding the Winslow photo, I wonder, is the Eagle's song referencing the statue or the other way around?

The statute is referencing the song. Here are my photos of the mother road.

Saxon, your question has been answered, but here is the clue which would have answered it for you.

From the Eagles' song, Take It Easy.
    Well, I'm a standing on a corner
    in Winslow, Arizona
and such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed
Ford slowin' down to take a look at me
Check the painted reflection in the window behind the statue.

Love that first shot. Really captures that time and place that now only seems to hide in stories and photos.

    Nice work,
