Temple of Debod

The Temple of Debod was built in Egypt by the Nubians somewhere between 200 and 400 BC. It would have been destroyed by the Aswan Dam project, and was moved to Madrid in 1968 in gratitude for Spanish assistance on that project. It looks a little out of place here, but is rather cool.

The third shot does it for me as well, and it looks like you took it early or late in the day -very nice warm light!

Thanks to George Fillmore, my egg shot got a second 15 minutes of fame, so I decided to have a bit of fun. The grim expression came from having to use a tripod. rolleyes1.gif

Thanks Skippy and Dalantech. I like #1 and #3 best. I only included #2 so you could get a better idea of what the thing looks like. I was shooting at around 9:30 in the morning...mainly to avoid the hordes of tourists that show up when the place opens at 10. The buses were arriving just as I was leaving. :D
