What's an *honest* merge? I can see how one head would be behind the other, but what happened to the head in the foreground? This looks pretty strange. eek7.gif

The bird (s) have to have at least one head in order to get food.

Drives me nuts looking for it.rolleyes1.gif

That took a steady hand. Nice PS work if you merged the two.
Good grab if that is a natural shot.

    Thanks everyone,
It is a natural shot, no post work at all on the swans, pure fluke though. I didn't even know I'd got it till I uploaded last night
I've looked at it at 100% and still can't see what's going on, I think the necks must cross over one behind the other so each head is behind the others neck ne_nau.gifscratch

If you look closely, it looks as though the head and neck of the bird facing away from the camera are hidden behind it's own body (towards the man's leg). The head of the other bird is also hidden by the body of the bird facing away from the camera. Did taken a second look though. Nice shot.

I like it, Gubbs. Seems to me you shouldn't have much trouble with this challenge theme, I've seen whimsy at least in lots of your photos. Sure liked that park series, BTW.

Here's my version of the same 2-in-1 theme, shot Tues, unaltered--you can see a bit of nose though of the 2nd horse.

Two heads are better than none. Nice catch. If these guys were sitting closer you might have had siamese twins feeding siamese twins.

Man that took a while to figure out! I kept trying to see where the two necks "merged"... but its really just... ahhh, I guess I won't spoil it for anyone else.

    Good one thumb.gif

Lovely Gubbs... Flukes do happen. You made it happen.
I had to look for a few minutes to really see it. :D
