New bird feeder, new birds, new D200
And after 3 days I'm still finding new buttons to push on the D200. Here are 2 Gold Finches I got lucky capturing.

Nice shots William. Hope you are enjoying your new rig. It's always fun to get new "stuff". Let's hope the shiny new gear doesn't scare off those eagles. Keep 'em coming.

The captures are really something. Which lens did you use?

Thanks Dick, I'm looking forward to learning more about this camera, and better pictures. I used a 300mm f4. @ 1/2500, and I also had my SB800 and camera set at FP to sync. up with the shutter. That's what I'm trying to accomplish with the Gold finches at the feeder. There are plenty of birds fighting for the food, so I should get some interesting shots if I work this out.

Thanks Troy, you're right about that, but at least I have plenty of opportunities to practice.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
