In 1991 a huge mural was painted on the side of a building at the corner of Newbury and Dartmouth Streets in Boston's Back Bay. It incorporated pictures of over 80 Boston personalities from colonial days to the present, including JFK, Babe Ruth, patriots and local politicians. It was decidely not great art, but it was fun to try to figure out who all the people were. Over the years the mural fell into disrepair. No one was willing to pay to have it repaired so the decision was made to remove it. Only a few identifiable remants of the mural remained today as I walked by. I went home and got my camera to capture what was left.

    Hi Gini

Thanks for the shots, and a difficult one to shoot - Its a shame they decided to let the mural just fall into disrepair like that sometimes they do add character to a building or area which otherwise would be completely colourless.

    Cheers
