SmugMug & Nudity

I'm in the process to do some sessions with female models.

I respect the "Family save" policy of SmugMug and understand that I can't just post any picture in a public gallery although the pictures will not be taken with pornographic intentions.

English is not my native language and because of that I like to define "pornographic" according to my understanding:

Vulgar display of nudity with the visible intention to promote de sexual desires of the viewer where sex but not subject is displayed.

My questions:

* Can I show nudity (poses) in password protected galleries without running into trouble with the "rules & regulations" of SmugMug?

* Can I show nudity (details, no porno) in password protected galleries without running into trouble with the "rules & regulations" of SmugMug?

* Can I show suggestive (not nude but sexy poses & clothing) galleries in NOT password protected galleries?

password protecting and making private are not ok if the photos violate our terms

for the most part, yes. But I can think of many non-nude poses that would be a voilation of our terms.

Our Terms:

nudity

Smugmug must remain a safe site for families with children, so we prohibit the uploading and display of photographs or other Media portraying explicit nudity that would be unacceptable in a public museum where minors visit, for example. If your photos would only be suited for adult sites, adult magazines, or R-rated movies, they are not suitable for Smugmug.

Judgement of suitable Media is the sole discretion of Smugmug, and Smugmug reserves the right to delete any photographs or other Media it deems to violate this policy and/or to cancel the account of any subscriber who posts photos or other Media violating this policy.

Sorry Andy, I just couldn't resist. I had no idea reviewing nude photos to make sure they're tasteful was part of smugmug's services.

I think I understand. I'm sure a lot will be a "Yes", a lot will be a "No" Regardless if "private" and / or password protected, the rules staying "the rules"

I'm glad I asked before acting. It's a bit disturbing but rules are rules and I respect that. For those "less family save" galleries I will consider another solution. I can't sort out the nudes and scatter them over different galleries from different providers, it's here or it's there.

IIRC there is a site called photosig that is where most people put their nudes...of course it's not nearly as good a site as smugmug.

I really don't know what smugmug has against it if it's passworded and private...ed though.

I can't see why eighter but it's their sandpool and will not be my point of discussion. I'm happy with their service and don't make a fuss about the less than 1% of my pics they don't allow me to post.
