T.O. Sunset

Finally we got at least some clouds in the evening, so I rushed to my favorite sunset spot:

For those who are interested: Canon 30D + EF-S 10-22 at 10mm, 1/60s at f/22, aperture priority (ACR plus a few layers of post in CS2)

I did not expect this big halo to happen but I liked it when I saw it.

No, horizon is not skewed. And yes, I do like the tree on the left :-)

    I like what you did with the dark areas but I don't like the crop. It's a neat effect you get from the entire halo. The centered composition works in this shot.

    Awesome shot Nik! The wide angle worked really well here. Where was this at?

    This is a place fairly close to my house, less than two miles, located on the Sunset Hills (very adequate name, don't you think?). I found it by accident with the help of the GPS nav system in my MURRANO, and use it ever since. :):
