Finally we got at least some clouds in the evening, so I rushed to my favorite sunset spot:
For those who are interested: Canon 30D + EF-S 10-22 at 10mm, 1/60s at f/22, aperture priority (ACR plus a few layers of post in CS2)
I did not expect this big halo to happen but I liked it when I saw it.

No, horizon is not skewed. And yes, I do like the tree on the left :-)

I like what you did with the dark areas but I don't like the crop. It's a neat effect you get from the entire halo. The centered composition works in this shot.

This is a place fairly close to my house, less than two miles, located on the Sunset Hills (very adequate name, don't you think?). I found it by accident with the help of the GPS nav system in my MURRANO, and use it ever since. :
