I picked an older picture and re-post-processed it to make it look better.
I think it's not bad for a budget Nikkor 70-300mm ($120,00) on a D70.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Frankie.
My knowledge and documentation do not extend any further than that it is a humming bird.

I received an Email from a Keith Rankin, and he takes photos of hummingbirds too. He has some beautiful shots and maybe you would like to look at his gallery. I really the like the shots of the birds sitting on his (or somebody's) hands and fingers.
The ones around my house love to play in the sprinkler. I used to have an isolating sprinkler and they would perch and wait for it to swing through its arc and then they would chatter and fly around in the water. When is swung back the other direction they would perch and wait for the water to return.
Thanks Brooks.
You're right, his gallery is amazing!
