Hi Everyone, this is my first post on DGrin. I shot this earlier this month at a local high school. I hope that you enjoy it and critiques are always welcomed.

WOW!clap.gif Great capture. It looks clean and crisp from ball to bat to the grimace on his face. Not a bad way to start off your posting:D

Thanks Colleen, I appreciate the kind words. The "bat on ball" shot is one of those classic captures for sports action shooters. I was very happy when I saw this image on my computer.

I know what you mean - I got a similar feeling when I saw I captured an equivalent shot of my son heading a soccer ball a few months back (http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=33296). :D

If you look in the sports dictionary under "peak action", you would certainly find that image of your son...well shot, Colleen!

Tremendous capture. Focus, timing and vibrancy (is that a word) are awesome.

    Great job!
