Hi All, this was taken last September at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. I hope you enjoy it and critiques are always welcomed.

    I love the soft, smooth, delicate texture of the petals, that are so crisply portrayed by your image. The center "fruit" looks succulent enough to eat, and I bet many insects try.

    Thanks so much, Ziggy. The weather was hot and humid the day I shot this image, but it all worked out alright. I visited the Gardens last week in the hopes of getting a few more, but the Lotus plants were not in bloom. Maybe next time.

    What a Beautiful Lotus..... the Lotus would have to be one of, if not the MOST beautiful water plants I have ever seen.
