Nice shots spockling, I am a sucker for a moiuntain veiw being a flatlander. It might be my monitor but it looks like there might be some blown highlights in the first one.

Nir, Thanks. Actually it's the Fairmont Hotel in Banff.

Graeaps, can't check right now about the highlight. Are you referring to the rocks or the snow?ne_nau.gif

Maybe to a small degree the snow on the farthest peak, but mostly the rocks in the lower right.

    I agree, very good images.

A circular polarizer would make them really standout.

    I use a B&W, 58 mm.

    Thanks for sharing, Nicholas

Cool mountains and hotel. I think you have a small dust bunny on your sensor in the top left corner. I used the copper hill method to clean my sensor with good success. I like the framing of the second one. Those are some real mountains for sure.

Thomas, Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't noticed it before.

Nicholas, This was shot with my 28-135 IS and it needs a 72 mm. The polarizer is on the wishlist. I have a cokin A series now, but it won't fit the 72mm....

Wxwax, Thanks, but (don't ell anyone, the sky is fake. It came out totally blown so I used four seasons filter on it.)

    Beautiful Mountins Spockling
I love all of them. The rocks in the first one look fine to me. I see detail there. I love that one with the hotel too. The sky looks very natural. Very fine work all around.clap.gif
