How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry! Yes, this is about the best I have done with strong backlighting.

Gee, even with a 300mm lens all mine come out looking like a bird shaped blob in a field of blue.

Sure wish I could get some nice shots like that of the Red-tailed Hawks around here.

Thanks! I shot this with a 400mm hand held. The osprey let me get as close as I could without climbing up the tree, and I managed to get several good shots!:):

I've seen this Osprey at Bolsa before. He hangs out in the dead trees along the path next to the newly flooded area. When I was taking photos he started making calls, then a second osprey appeared and they both took off.

He was on in the trees before the fence when I photographed him. Also there was a second osprey on a dead tree in the pond, near where the fenced in area is. I didn't notice the second osprey until they started calling to each other. I'm hoping that they are a pair, and that they will stay!

I will probably be there this weekend maybe we could meet up and go look for them!
