Dragonfly Macro

During the 2006 PostShootOut, as many of you know I had the pleasure of travelling with 5 other Dgrin guys.

Jack brought along his 4X Drive, this particular day as we drove along in front of the RV a huge Dragonfly hit the windscreen and got caught in the wiper blades.

I was like beside myself with joy that the thing was still sitting on the car, and we were far enough in front of the RV to quickly pull over and check him out :clap ......... well unfortunatly the impact cut the poor guy in half, but you know me, I carefully got him off the blades and put him in a bag till we reached our destination.

This photo was taken on a wooden picnic bench with several Dgrin onlookers :rofl Canon 20D, at least one Kenko Tube with the Canon 100mm Macro and an External Flash with Difuser attached.

The picture is NOT Cropped in any way.

I wish this little guy had lived, but alas his little face will live forever more only in photos :rolleyes thanks for looking......... Skippy (Australia)

Hey there Nightingale......... yes thank you I remember you telling me that it existed on the 2006 ShootOut, and I went searching for it, and found it.

I was thinking of going for Elements 4, but now that I have Curves in Elements 3, I'm really happy ... thank you again for telling me about it :D

Yeah he was just a beautiful colour, at first I thought he was just stuck between the blade and the shield, because the upper part of his body was intact, but when I got out of the car to try and free him......... well let's just say he was already in Bug Heaven :cry poor little fella.

Awww shucks ......*blush*blush*...... well my laptop has been totally cracking the wobblies with me, so the going is slow at the moment.

Your not gonna believe this but, on my forced leave days this week I got out the DVD I brought last year from USA about PhotoShop Elements and I sat and watched it again, and by golly gosh, I actually learnt something rolleyes1.gif how cool is that hey rolleyes1.gif see I knew if I watched it I would get something out of it mwink.gif and I found that link finally to the hack to put Curves into PhotoShop Elements 3, so I'm really pleased.

    Take Care Nick.......... Skippy (Australia)
