Tooks some shots at Union Station, Los Angeles yesterday. Comments?
is my fav. It has an old feeling, it could have been taken in the previous century. It is only when you start to study the picture that you can see that they live in our days now.
Nice shots. The one with the floor pattern has a good composition, but has a rather cold feeling.

OOOHHH, in this case: YES, YES, YES...
The color adds so much. The orange brings the photograph to life.
You also see the reflections in yellow that had totally escaped me in the B/W version.
Yeah, the color makes this picture IMHO

Yeah, I see what you mean. I was having so much fun with B/W stuff, that I didn't even pay attention to what I was loosing.
Hmmm, Yes, I like the color shot of the floor. Very exciting pattern and color.
I'm not sure about the second try on #1. I do like the drama of the deeper contrast, but you do lose some detail in the shadows. Looking again... yes I like it. I seem to notice some of the more important details more. Like the newspaper headlines and the detail in the floor.
I like the lines in the shot of the long hallway. The motion of the people hurrying along and the long straight lines on the wall really say movement to me.
I like the light in that shot on the other thread. The windows are cool too. Train stations are so interesting.

You did a great job on the whole series. clap
Thanks, snap! I agree....I really like the visual variety you get in a train station....not to mention the people watching is always interesting. The trip to Union Station was totally spontaneous, and I was so glad I went. Now I have an urge to go check out other historical train stations elsewhere.
