Now those are some scary fireworks shots!!! Were you just taking photos, or do you really do this???? I love the composition of the first one and the lighting with the silouhette. Awesome!
Thanks for replying....that would be one interesting job, wouldn't it!!! How did you gain access to shoot these? I'm sure there are restrictions to viewers...
we didnt get permission, we walked behind where they were launching the fireworks in my town, from a little path i know cause it is right by my house. and i was far enough away they said just dont come any closer and it would be fine.
then a cop came and told me to go, so i informed him the firework folks told me the spot was ok and safe and far enough away, but to get no closer. so he let me stay and was very nice about it.
after that a few more people came that live around there and sat where my gf and i were shooting from and nobody bothered any of us. but i had my 70-300mm lens on to get me closer to the action, i was probably about 50-60 yards away or more from the guys doing the launching.
