That is a fabulous picture. The tree is amazing but the sky makes it. And you did the camera work just right.

    Totally agree! Great shot!

What kind of tree was it? It resembles an Ancient Bristlecone Pine.

Gorgeous shot. It has huge potential!

I played with the saturation and contrast to show what I think could be done, I hope you don't mind!:

Hi Owen, the original is untouched, I just edited a copy, and yes I messed with the sat/cont. as well, but I tried to produce the colours that I actually saw that day without over doing it......... yes I agree with you the image has a lot of potential, heck I even like it myself rolleyes1.gif Skippy (Australia)

Wow, Skippy, this is awesome! Not only is it a cool little tree, but I love the way the shape of the clouds mimics the shape of the foliage and the wispy clouds mimic the swirling shape of the trunk. I keep staring at the shot....it has a very 3-D look to it. I feel like I could step right into the scene! Nicely done! clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Thank you Saurora....... When we first arrived in that spot, the guys took off to the rim which was much further to the right, but I saw a couple of little trees way to the right so I headed off in that direction.

When I first saw that tree, I walked around it a couple of times, and walked away from it to look at it from a distance, it was just like a painting, and just know I had the biggest grin on my face when I chanced upon it :D
