Bailey ... an Eagle Owl

A few pics of Bailey a European Eagle owl and one of Darleen a South American Snake catcher at Leeds Castle. I had attempted some BIF shots of a falcon but it was just way too fast for me and the FZ10 just wasn;t up to it. I know its time to upgrade to another cam and this little outting really bought that home - the EVF was too small, not enough resolution and not fast enough to help me keep up with the birds. When your shooting fast flying BIF's whats the best technique to capture them ?

!. Bailey - ISO 50, f2.8 1/800 sec. Slight crop from the top - the dude's jaw was just in the frame.

3. A fly past over the kids - took this in burst mode and the only one that came out.

An excellent set of shots. #3 is amazing, it would be a tough capture with a fast DSLR but with an FZ10 :wow. Seriously I have seen amazing shots from the Panasonics.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
