Tennis in the rain

DW got tickets for number 1 court at Wimbledon on Wednesday. The forecast was for heavy thunderstorms, which never materialised. But every time it started to drizzle the covers went on and another hour of tennis was lost.

which resulted in some fairly uninspring tennis between Bjorkman, who eventually won.

and Stepanek who didn't

We wanted to watch Nieminen, play Nadal, but because of the rain and the time Bjorkman took to beat Stepanek, they didn't play till today.

The pro photogs were all there acting in unison like a troop of Meerkats, shooting the same shot

So we left and watched some doubles instead between Damm and Paes

and Hanley and Ullyett.

This was a great match, 5 sets, 4 tie breaks. Damm and Paes eventually won. It's much more fun standing 10 yards from the players on court three, than sitting 100 yards away on Court 1

No ribs, no BBQ just some wine before going home
