All the photos look very nice and the DOF in the 1.st is magnificent ...
For DOF I liked this one but it isn't for everyone:D
This one is very good also.
The lens is the 35 f1.4L, on that one and the first one. Ohoo would I love to have the 70-200 F2.8L with or w/o IS:): Thanks again!
All very nice.
Now I must delete all my shots from today:cry

Thanks John! This is high praise from you indeed. I don't think I would delete my shots tho':D After all it was some of your shots from earlier in the year that got me inspired to work on them more/harder.
Ohhhhhh wow check out your little Squirrel Stamp, thats pretty neat
That second last photo, that's my favourite unusual looking plant, sort of looks like it has a berry on it doesn't it ??

The plant in the shot you like is Hypericum 'Albury Purple'. The bug, well I'll leave the real bug shots to all of you, did think it turned out ok. Glad you like my little logo a Dgrin friend did that up for me, nice of them.

Japanese Beetles, ruining gardens and crops for nearly 100 years now (Of course, they're no Gypsy Moth). Plus, they bite. The first sight of one of these wonderful creatures was how we knew summer was here.
If you notice a lot of them around, I recommend a couple of these, they're highly effective:
