Nice shots EE. thumb.gif I think that last one would improve with a bit of cropping (left side removed)....so the bird isn't so centered in the shot. mwink.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    egrets in the desert
Doggonit, you got it, Bud. Egrets in the desert. I have seen them before, but they're a bit rare around here. When I do see them, they're usually specks. This one, he came close.. Finally...

Things are going well over here. Took a drive to san fran over the weekend and picked up some lenses. 17-40L and 100-400L IS, so as you can imagine, I'm now in the process of having some fun. Doggonit, I gave the guy $2500 and he gave me back $5.06 in change... That part hurt, but now that the pain has passed, I'm having fun. Of course, explaining to my better half why I need more lenses (again) isn't much fun. She's going to blow a fuse when I pick up my new body next month (sigh) but she loves me and tolerates my passion for photography, even though she can't get past the expense. I tell her "This is why people work, to buy things", but it doesn't do much good, even though I scored a monster client who wants 1000 product shots...

Ahhh, life in the (mostly egret free) desert.

    Howzit goin, Bubba?

The bird was flying close to the bottom of the frame. That, and he was distant. Had to crop it this way, not enough pixels to do much else. If you saw the original you would understand.

    Thanks for the nice words!

    Cheers

    You're all heart
    [rant]

Come out here in the desert some time. This is the place where the men are seperated from the boys. Stifling heat, constant dust, mile long hikes to get to the birds, what few of them there are. Doggonit, not everyone can fill the frame with an egret, at will, with a 200mm lens. Grrrrr... ne_nau.gif

    [/rant]

OK, now that thats over, thanks for the compliment on my first egret.

    Take care, Harry..
