Went down to the hospital to pick up my wife (she's pregnant and the due time is very close) and took this two shots on the way back home.

Cheers. :):

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

    judah-

    I like these shots-

on the first one- nothing wrong with a silhouette but I don't think that was your point-

need to lighten the statue some and get a little detail in it-

    are you using pse yet?-

work on the levels and you might be able to open up the statue some and give the whole pic a little more contrast-

the second one, maybe crop the top a little and the cross needs to be vertical; it's distracting when it's not straight up and down-

it needs a 'pop', also---some work with levels-

    Hi George!
thanks a million for your suggestion. Sorry to disagree but I was really looking for a silouette in the first one! :):
Point taken on the second one. Yes, I got a copy of PSE and installed it a few days ago but I'm not into it yet. I'm still trying to understand all the concepts behind curves, lights and tones in software language. Is there a website or something like that to get ahold of all this parameters and their meanings?
    Thanks again for your time!

    Cheers.

And here's another one from a slightly different angle.

I think those last two work as a silhouette--

re concepts- I don't know what to tell you except google it -'photoshop curves concepts' or something to that effect--I'm sure there's something there-

you can learn to swim by fartin' around in the shallow end or jumpin' out into the deep-

    take a dive, man-

btw, good luck with the baby-

my daughter is delivering my second grandson tuesday-
