Caracara

Although the pictures are not the quality I like them to be, still I consider them “keepers”.
The wind was too heavy to shoot handheld and the situation didn’t allow me to move
around much (I don’t wand to scare the bird of course)

Although I kept my movements to a minimum, the Caracara was very uncomfortable
with me around and was constantly moving. Not even 5 seconds after his meal he wend away.

It's always tough getting raptors to not fly off the second they spot you. You did well. An interesting and neat bird. Glad you shared these with us all, Dick.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
