Went to a friends house today and new friends were made.

Meet Zeppelin, a 9 week old german shepard.

He may be small but he thinks he is a big dog.

And this is Howard, a mix breed Bulldog.

He got a little sleepy after chasing the soccer ball outside.

By the end of the day they made friends.

Very nice shots, but I feel that the 3rd and 4th would have benefited from a wider DOF.

They were shot at 1/60th and 1/40th, ISO 1600, f/1.4. That didn't leave me much room to use a smaller aperture. They were taken in a dark basement and I didn't feel like digging out the flash so I used what I had. I agree with you that a larger DOF would have been better and I would have used one if the environment had allowed it. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Skippy, he did try to wrap his tongue around it but even Howard and his big head couldn't fit it in his mouth.

I like all of the shots and IMHO wide depth of field is highly over rated in just about every type of photography -but then again I shoot bugs :D

I LOVE those 2 dogs! I've always wanted a German Shepard or a Bulldog. They are so awesome! Thanks for sharing these photos.clap.gif
