so my power management didnt kick in this weekend and my screensaver and monitor auto-off didnt start so now i've got a burned in image of my desktop background.

I've done some googling and found that it's supposedly not permanant on LCD's...has anyone had an experience of this fixing itself? Any techniques you've used?

not sure if this is a furphy or not, but apparently playing the "Ice Age" DVD over and over can actually fix it.
