If you are looking for something different in a camera bag I may have found a good source.

Crumpler Bags

This company looks very youth and trend oriented. They primarily make messenger bags and camera bags and backpacks. Lots of colors, not your standard black bags. I came across the website this weekend and thought the bags would be nice if you needed to take a few items and wanted a bag that could be used at times for something other than your cameras. The website and faqs are interesting to ready, definitely not your big corporate website, a little more entertaining.

I have not seen their bags in person and would be interested to hear what those that have seen or use them think.

    Cool link. The one that looks good to me is Brian's Hot Tub but it costs a whopping $230!

    Thanks for the link. Its been a long time since I've been to their site, and they have added a lot of new products since my last visit.

    I've been looking for a bag to carry an iBook, battery my Panasonic FZ10 and accessories with a look that is more my style.

    I'll let you know what model I get along w/ service & build quality.

    I just got a Camera/ Laptop backpack. They had the one I wanted in stock at a local camera store.

    The one I decided on is the Formal Lounge.

    It can hold my 15" PowerBook, camera will all my accessories nicely. The build seems very strong. I'm toting it around the city now, and stopped at a local coffee shop for some email & warm up. Its extremely comfortable with all my gear, shoulder and back are padded. I'm sure this will make my long days wondering around a lot more comfortable.

    If you thinking of buying one, I suggest you find a retailer in your area if possible. Its hard to see how big a bag actually is on the web. I was going to get the green model, but the colors on the site were nothing like in person. I went for the navy/silver color scheme.

    With any luck this will help get rid of the kink in my neck from my old shoulder bag.

    Dave, that was quick! Thanks for the info. How much camera gear does it hold? I'm thinking for the future, when I buy a camera I have no business owning, and I'll have 2-3 lenses plus flash, cards, batts, camera body, assorted stuff. And how about posting a pic so we can compare the colors your shot shows, versus what the website shows. I'm out of luck finding a dealer close to hear, I searched and none in Atlanta.

    I was able to see the Crumpler bags in person at PMA and they look very good. If you are into the colors they offer you will be happy with the quality.

    One of the reps told me you can order them at http://www.ebags.com/ and they have good prices and get shipped direct from Crumpler-USA. I have no association with them, but wanted to pass it along if it will save someone a few bucks.

    Thanks, I've gone there before. Trying to find their largest backpack is very difficult.

    How do you like your new bag? Any problems with airlines? Comfortable? Practical? Easy access?
