We got Shakespeare when I was only 5 years old, I can't ever remember a time without him. For that last 12 years he's always been there...a constant companion...a face to look forward to getting to see after school and everytime we got home, we could look forward to a happy face and a wagging tail. Now, Our house already feels a lot less bright and and it's hard to imagine that he's actually not here anymore.

He passed away because of fluid in his lungs caused by congestive heart failure. I wasn't home, but mom said he went peacefully, which is all I could've wished for.

I wanted to show you all a picture that I took a while back and it's the best picture we have of him, because you can see his face well and you can really see how cute he was and what a personality he had.

He will be missed more than anyone can imagine.

thanks for reading this, it means a lot.

- Ross

    Hello Ross
So sorry to hear of Shakespeares death.

Just know that you gave her such a beautiful life and that she consistantly gave back to your family nothing less than 110% love, each and every day of her life.
    http://www.poodleclubsocal.com/godmadedogs/

We currently have two Std. Poodles as well as a (rescue)-Afghan Hound, also 3 cats!

Before our current 3 pooches, we had two Bouviers and a Std. Poodle, all died of different age related issues and all in a 3 month period... the two Bouvs were 12 yrs old and our Std. was 11 years old...it was a horrible period of time for us, as we loved them dearly!

There are so many beautiful dogs at your local Animal Shelter (really!)...it is absolutley mindboggling how many beautiful dogs end up at the local Animal Shelters
....a new dog will never replace Shakespeare,
yet at the same time, we found that a new pooch was the best possible cure for the heartache!

There are far more dogs that are in perfect health (body and spirit) at the local rescues, having said this, the following is Hattie (a one and a half year old Goldendoodle)
whom we have been fostering, as well as nursing back to health for the past 3 weeks, she is of to her new FABULOUS home tomorrow afternoon..here is her story...she had a very rough start to life, but that is about to change..Guaranteed!

I am truly saddened by your loss. I have lost several wonderful dogs through the years and I know how unbearably sad it can be. Shakespeare looks very much like my Nikki. They give so much of themselves that when they leave us it truly leaves a big hole in our hearts.

Sorry for your loss :( I've lost two dogs in my life and it doesn't get any easier. Their presence is sorely missed.

It's a gorgeous photo, I can get an idea of what kinda dog he was.

Sorry to hear that. It almost seems unfair that we're only blessed with their compainionship for such a short time. Pictures suddenly become invaluable at moments like these I guess...
