Your RAW conversion did a good job of making sure nothing got blown out or lost in the dark. RAW in and of itself is not really that impressive, but the creative control it allows in post production can be very impressive. If you would like people to comment on your post production efforts,it is helpful to post what steps/programs you used to make the conversion, and what the image looked like before you processed it. So far as the photo itself goes... There is a big microphone in front of the subject's face, and the bottom of the frame is filled with a large out of focus amplifier. Maybe not much you can do about that. So far as attempting RAW good job the shot has nice dynamic range.
