    Congrats!
I know how tough it is making these decisions, you did great! I gotta tellya something. I shot through the 400 DO, man, that lens is out of this world. That, and it's light and easily handholdable.

    Congrats again!

    Have a ball..

I think you made an excellent buy. The 300mm (Nikon of course) was my main lens for wildlife for some time. It works very well with TCs.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

So I guess that means mine is going to be supremely excellent!!! :D

I think I'm going to really like having an extra camera.

Actually, having lived near Chicago for most of my life, I am a fan of both teams. I never bought into that pick one or the other thing.

I have to admit that when they played each other last, I was hoping the Sox would kill 'em. Only because it would do them more good and maybe help get that tooth pick suckin' manager outta here! rolleyes1.gif

Congrats on your new gear! I think you are going to like the 30D, and your 300mm IS lens. I recently upgraded from a 10D to a 30D, and except for the "print button" headscratch.gif I find the 10D slow and cumbersome now.

    Thanks, Glenn.

I almost bought another 20D instead. $250 less and new. But I want the bigger screen, spot metering, and 1/3 stop increments on the iso.

I had a 10D and the only complaint I had with it was the wake up time...missed a lot of shots because of that.

That was why I got the 30D. The wake-up time was a nice suprise! :):
