What are flashes' most common accesories?

I'm bothering again, hahaha, I want to know about flashes, all you can let me know, I mean, about accesories, because I have seen some white... hoods? can I call them that way? over the flash, it's like an accessory that diffuse the light and makes it softer, something like that, I don't know about them, how do they call them? thanks again, hehe.

Take a look through the sticky threads at the top of this forum for some
really great info.

Most common are probably something to shape or change the light and
rechargable batteries or even aux batteries. More expensive accessories
include Pocket Wizards.
