I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to do the same thing with a famous photo just to see what type of comments people would post.
Thanks for the laugh.

REALLY funny and so true..thanks for the link.
Whether it's by a so-called famous photographer or an unknown.
So I agreed with some of the criticisms!
The one that really made me laugh was the one of the bicycle which he called a "snapshot." No snapshooter would get down on the ground to shoot up like that and of course the lighting is quite nice, not taken in the middle of the day... so it's definitely not a "snapshot." (Of course, that's the point he was trying to make!)
For people who take the time to give a good critique of a photo -- my applause. What an unthankful job it is most of the time. And what a difficult one it is too.
I found a bunch of photos by a very famous photographer online. While his "famous" photographs stand out, his un-famous ones would get a lot of criticism and advice indeed. It's kind of obvious which photos he was expected to take and which he took for enjoyment.
After years of taking part in some photo challenges and in discussing photos with friends, it's become obvious to me I am so "not" in the majority of what people like.
So, I have to like what I like and not worry about what people say I'm supposed to like.
And I'm sure some of these photographers, if alive, would say... "well, critique away, I'm laughing all the way to the bank with my check from my client."
So much emphasis today is for technical perfection that I sometimes wonder if in striving for that perfection creativity is pushed aside.
Oh well, thanks for posting the link, I had a good chuckle!
