I went for a walk this morning and took a few snaps along the way. I used a polariser filter and shot in raw:

I think I may have overdone the contrast / saturation. Opinions, critisism and ridicule welcome :wink

I like the saturation but the contrast seems a bit high.

These are fantastic...I like the saturation AND the contrast...

I would love to see how they print...let us know how they turn out, if you decide to...

THOSE are the kind of pics, especially the first one, that make me forget about exposure and contrast and blah blah blah.....

What great country side, what a beautifull area clap.gif

Fwiw the saturation/contrast doesn't bother me. Maybe technicaly a tad over the top, but who cares? The photo's lend themselves to it very well.

Thanks for the great feedback folks, I don't use raw or the polariser filter much and wasn't confident about the results. I will get them printed and let you know how they turn out thumb.gif

you went walking....and saw ThAT?! ugh, how unfair...all we got in North Louisiana is pine trees and.....nothing else. maybe some hicks that I try hard not to associate myself with...
    lol

Those are great shots, wish we had some landscapes as beautiful as that to take pictures on. Great job.

and the only think I noticed were the clouds - look a tad too bright (like the top left in the first photo), probably from the contrast.

Awesome pics. I love to use a CP filter for bright skys.

However, you have some serious dustbunnies on your camera's sensor (see attachment on the bottom)!

Even for B&W a CP filter is useful, for controlling the sky. Here is an example of mine:

I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"
