I went for a walk this morning and took a few snaps along the way. I used a polariser filter and shot in raw:

I think I may have overdone the contrast / saturation. Opinions, critisism and ridicule welcome :wink

I would love to see how they print...let us know how they turn out, if you decide to...
What great country side, what a beautifull area
Fwiw the saturation/contrast doesn't bother me. Maybe technicaly a tad over the top, but who cares? The photo's lend themselves to it very well.
Print them out if you like them the their good

Those are great shots, wish we had some landscapes as beautiful as that to take pictures on. Great job.
and the only think I noticed were the clouds - look a tad too bright (like the top left in the first photo), probably from the contrast.

However, you have some serious dustbunnies on your camera's sensor (see attachment on the bottom)!
Even for B&W a CP filter is useful, for controlling the sky. Here is an example of mine:
When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
in two billion years,
all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"
