    Nice shot!

    I may have a suggestion: next time you shoot a subject with the sun behind it - use the fill flash. No need to get all fancy with the external one, your 30D's built-in will do wonders at this distance.
    Set it to manual, 25-30% of the power.. (you may want to experiment a little).

    They all look so cute, and cuddly, but don't let them fool you. Within 10 years they will all have cars, bank accounts, credit cards, alimony, and child support.

    You will have a very old used car, a dump of an appartment, bills for bracess, camp, and don't forget Stanford. :D
