Vacation in Eagle River, AK

I'm still on my vacation visiting my brother and his family in Eagle River, AK. The following are just a few of the photos that I have had time to process and upload.

Looking east along Turnagain Arm from the Bird Point turnout.

This is a glacier calf. What you see is not an optical illusion - there really is a hole through the ice.

I'll post more as they get processed. We are taking a river boat tour tomorrow and hope to have some really interesting shots from that experience.

    really enjoyed my trip. Beautiful shots!

    Folks, if you've never been to AK, you should plan an excursion. It's well
    worth it.

    and I will be adding more as I have time to process and upload them (I'm on a fairly thin upload wire here). We will be going out on a river boat cruise (does that sound kinda like an oxymoron to you also?) and I should return with some more.
