Just put a pic on my profile. What happened?

Hi All, I'm new to the site and have an awful lot to learn. Been here several times in the last few days and finally decided to post a pic. After several tries I was able to post it. But it was pasted on the right-hand sign of my banner. Can someone tell me why this happened?:scratch

    looks alright to me....that is where my profile pic is also......however if you want it on the right side....then make it the correct size for an AVATAR and load it to your avatar...then you'll have it both places....at least mine is that way...and I hope I told you correctly.:D

    You must upload a 80x80 file, less than 18kb. Go to the section called You! upper left, and then "edit avatar"

    There are two pics, the profile and the avatar, and these must be loaded separately. The profile pic shows up in the bio section of your Smugmug site. The avatar shows up on Dgrin postings. Perhaps that is what is confusing you.

    Actually, that's incorrect. The profile pic on Dgrin has no connection to a Bio pic on SmugMug. Just needed to clarify that.

    There ARE two pics on Dgrin: a profile pic and an AVATAR pic :)
