well.. i gave my frankest thought. nothing is nice about this pic.
subject dead center and soft, color is dull. adding a radian blur doesnt make it look any better.
im surprised though. many other pics of yours are great.
You'll find that everyone here likes the good and the harsh criticism, too. But, saying "no good" without any reasons, is meaningless and useless, and, taken alone, is just plain rude.
Tell us, please: why is it "no good?" Technically - artistically? How does the photo make you feel? How would you approach this differently? At shoot - or in post? Let's keep the atmosphere encouraging, and useful, to all. Otherwise, some things are best left unsaid.

..maybe new dgrinners like me aren't welcome here
So, *thank you* for clarifying! See, that's much better than just plain old, "no good"
And you'll find, phuong, that we're probably the friendliest forum on the planet. We want and welcome new dgrinners, and we encourage you to contribute and be part of the community.
and, if one is to do a radial blur on a subject, it helps to have it centered-
but seriously, I respect your opinion; if you don't like it, I understand-
I also looked at your gallery-
you have some very nice photos-
george
thanks. and i appology too. you must be at my father's brother's age.
for the radial blur, its true it helps if the subject's at center. but it doesn't meant you can't move it to some other corner for better view (i.e., cropping) and since you already applied a mask to get the head totally out of the blur, why not add an extra little touch to get the body subtly visible. i doubt i would find a reason to say it "no good" again

you set me off-
and I am grumpy-
I wouldn't exactly jump for joy over your second critique, but it gives me some reasons why you find my photo 'no good'-
that, I can handle-
again, I apologize-
as far as I am concerned, you are most welcome on the forum-
george
the subject's not even close to being soft-
they don't come in red-

so he's a curmudgeon too, huh?-

and a neat idea about the body of the dog-
best
