another view from the same place.
i was amazed myself by this pic (although it's not as striking as the first one). shooting at high noon like this (non-IR) i've never gotten that mountain at the distance so visible.

I like the first one a lot. Very striking. Crisp and sharp. The blacks feel a little bit overpowering, but that may just be a matter of taste.

    Phuong,
I've always liked architectural IR shots - specifically the geometry of city buildings. Its a really great shot - like the one I've had in my mind but no availability of location yet.

hi gang. i bought a 350D and got it modified. i went back to the same place to take a few shots, just for comparision's sake. overall i feel i have great great great great control over exposures. also with higher quality lens (24-70mm) and sensor (cmos + digic II), plus shooting in RAW, i get much smoother and crispier results than with the F828+1000nm, even though the internal filter is just R72-equivalent.

@ Mr. 2H2O: i recently fell in love with shooting architectural. it's interesting, though unlike landscaping, it's very hard go get a good angle and good composition (or maybe it's just me who's new in this field). anyway, combining it with IR, it's just great imho because of all those contrasty qualities. by the way, are you from Montreal too?
