Nice photos Gubbs. I like the colour of the sky in the first picture as it contrasts well to the bird in the air.

Skys for me in general have been a bit of a struggle in digital compared to film. Here where I live, we seem to have had a lot of those drab, colourless skies lately that seem to blow out so easily. I am now in the habit of checking the histogram of the first photo I do and always shoot RAW.

I like the sky in the second photo as well. Here's to Stormy Weather!

Gubbs, I love them! And I am jealous. We used to have a lot of seabirds around on the beaches, except for the pipers, I don't see them like I used to.

Of course, I don't live front beach now, either. My little dog, 20 yrs ago, she loved to chase them.

I, too, love the sky in the first photo. We have either had grey weather or blue sky weather. I am appreciating, for the first time, the nice aspects of storm clouds. Though hope the gods don't get too carried away and give me hurricanes. Just nice afternoon storm clouds.

I love All the shots, Gubbs, but the first and the last stand out. Is that near you? Were you traveling?

Ginger I took them when I was in Denmark but never got round to posting them. I've just been re-arranging my smugmug galleries and found them again... here's another with a stormy sky....
