Opening Raw Files, Help !!!!

My friend has the capablility of opening up RAW files in Photoshopt CS1, he has a canon 1d. I own a canon 20d and whenever i try to open up a raw file it says it cant find that certain document, any settings i need to adjust maybe on the camera or on PS. Any help is appreciated, thnx guys.

You need to download the RAW converter from Adobe specific to your camera.

Get ACR 2.4 & the 20D files will open. Since you are on CS and not CS2, ignore ACR 3.x--it won't work for you.

Why not download the beta version of Adobe Lightroom? It's free.

It's also beta and not fully functional yet. I wouldn't even attempt to use it in a production environment.

Newest version of ACR is for CS2 only, not for CS. You'll need a 3rd party utility or a new version of PS.

All I needed was the plugin acr 2.4 which i eventually found on adobes site so its all good and the raw files now open in PS CS.
