Might Finally get My Bikini Calendar...

Well Shay said I haven't been shooting enough to releive my stress and take my mind of the stupid things at work sooooo.

Got contacted this morning about a possible bikini calendar shoot and been emailing back and forth with the project manager since then. She has requested a meeting for this week (she prefferes not to wait and do it tomorrow) to finialize plans and stuff. Not the greatest paying job but would be great for my portfolio and who doesn't love shooting for a bikini calendar it's almost payment itself (I said almost:rofl ). This could be alot of fun, may even need an assistant (JimM you think you could make time for this?). I'll keep you guys posted.:clap :clap

Dude, this is awesome!
Congrats, hope it works out!

Just don't sell the raw files for cheap! Remember - you're not selling pictures, you're granting the publishing rights based on volume, size, etc.

And if this company ever decides to shoot in Southern CA, you *do* know who refer them to..

Yeah i know plenty of photographers in SoCal

. And no one gets the raw files without paying for them (and I mean really paying $$$$$$$$for them). Photos will only be able to be used in the calendar and for promoting the calendar thats it....

could be arrainged. Specially if JimM decides not to participate. My meeting is for tomorrow at 6PM at the studio I joined. Working all day is gonna suck tomorrow. Seems like a done deal (hopefully it stays that way) pretty much though just have to do paperwork and hash out plans.

the question is can you guys wait a few weeks for the photos. As it looks right now if everything goes good tonight and papers get inked shoots will be in the 2nd and 3rd week of august.

This means plenty of time for you to get the good reflectors and plan the shoot.
Don't forget to shoot from the waist level, so you may wanna get AngleFinder..

at that point it would be a 3rd.

haha, yeah I was imagining getting from Lansing to Detroit for a shoot and still working a 40hr/week job might be rather difficult...but hey, I may be able to make it out on occasion if you need someone. I'm good at holding stuff.

Shoots on a weekend so as long as you have a regular job (IE Office job 8-5 m-f) no problem. The lansing run is easy, been there done that.

You think I'd pass up this opportunity???? Count me in (as much as I can depending on the weekend of the shoot). I spoke to these folks as well, and I know of some decent lake spots in Brighton if you want the beach. Keep me posted as to when the shoot will be, as I will be out of town part of August and have a wedding on the 19th.

Will do. It's looking like the weekend of the 11th but will iron it out tonight hopefully.
