You got some good shots especially the flight shots. I hate to say it but they would have been better if you got in closer or could have cropped them tighter. I know that it ain't easy to get to close to these guys. Looks like you didn't have the best light either.

Yes the Lighting was a very big problem. I had plenty of lens but the dark conditions made the full use a nightmare. I was using a ISO of 1600. That is as High as my XT goes. When I went in tighter the shutter speed was far to slow to use such a long lens. So I backed of a bit to get the shot. I was on this beach four days. The weather was cloudy the entire time. I have a couple of hundred photos of this outing but it was just so dark.

On another note I was in the presents of at least 37 eagles. That was awesome. I say at least because they would all start flying around when they noticed I was counting... :D

<< Missing My Camera right now it is on vacation at the Canon repair center in Irving CA. I some how smashed the LED....:cry :cry :cry :cry

Hopefully your camera will get back to you soon. I'm like a junkie w/o a fix when I don't have a camera.

I love watching eagles. Sometimes I make myself put the camera down so I can just watch them. They are a sight.

Nice flight shots. Where were you?
It must have been exciting to have so many eagles around - and how frustrating to not have good light. I hate that!! But I would have shot anyway too.

Ok I cropped this one to add to the fun.

THis would have been so much more fun if the Sun would have come out to play.

Oh And a friend caught me sneaking up for a closer look. I had to be careful not to disturb the Eagle.
