How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The Goldfinch is great, but, I like the Eastern Kingbird most. The compo, the color, the subject, and the background all come together for me in that shot!thumb.gif

Thanks Ric, the Eastern King bird is the one I like as well, as you mentioned the background and the exposure really made this bird stand out.

That Blue Heron In Flight is a great capture. I wonder what distance you were from the bird? My longest lens is only modest 200mm and I find that for a reasonable photo I do have serious problems tracking fast flying birds.

PS. I wonder how may birders here know what your surname means rolleyes1.gif

Hi Ted, thanks for the comments on this series of images. With my 100-400 if they birds is not to close in I don;t have a probelm tracking them, but close in is a hit and miss for me, as the lens is not fast enough. I have the prime 400mm on my list to get for shooting birds. The the Heron shot, you would have had not problem getting this bird with the 200.

As for what my surname means, go ahead and tell them, I forgot what it means myself.

    Thanks again for the comments.

Kaczor means "male duck" in polish, and this is why I saw some humour in you posting bird photographs.
