HTML strikethrough tag?

I'm trying to strikethrough a word in one of my photo's captions and I can't get the strikethrough to actually show up. I can get it to show up on other webpages with the same code, but not on SmugMug. I know older browsers may not display the word properly but I am using Firefox 1.5.0.4; it doesn't make sense for it to not work on only SmugMug, but I don't have any other ideas...I've tried the <del>, <s>, and <strike> tags. Can anyone get it to work on one of their photo captions?

    you need to surround any and all html you enter into your captions/descriptions with tags
