Problems with folks seeing my website!

Hi folks

Newbie here - I am still trying to figure out how to fix my site the way I want with nav bars and slide show, and yes, I am reading through tutorials, etc. (My mind doesn't pick this stuff up as fast at age 51).

A friend uses Safari and Firefox and said he couldn't see my site with those, but was able to see it ok with Opera (something like that). He said he thinks there is some type of coding that isn't closed? Sorry but I am extremely new at this web design stuff so not sure how to fix this. Can someone please take a peek and let me know what I need to do to fix the problem?
