    Hey, interesting pics! The mix of colors on the second one is really nice, and I like how you got a shot with the wings angled forwards. I don't recall having seen that very often.

    Thank you for the kind comments. I shot these with my 100-400L with a 500d attached, Lately I have been playing with very shallow depths of field. The images were pp'd in CS2 where I steepened the a & b channel curves in Lab Colour. I plan on making a large print, (poster size) of the 2nd image as it is uncropped.

    I didn't do anything, the Dragon fly had its arse to the wind so I assume thats why. I didn't know that it was unsual, (learn something everyday). They hatch & release hundreds of thousands of them here as part of our mosquito control program.
