Sun only came out for a few mins so not a good day to try it. That large ap is dynamite at that close with shallow DOF.

Really wanted some decent sized spiders but its mid winter so not much at all around.

Ahhhhhhh so you've joined the Club hey Gus clap.gifclap.gif well I know you got some decent sized bugs up your way, plus you get the nice colourful ones up there too ya lucky guy you.

Thanks for looking everyone. I just need some funnel webs now so im off to my parents house next week-end. They have hundreds in their back yard if the winter hasnt killed 'em off.
Good grief, that thing looks bigger than the shellfish we get here! Bet it doesn't taste as good, though. Congratulations on your new toy. Looks like you're going to do some great stuff with it.

    Cheers,

Hi Gus.......here's the cousin of your Northern Funnel Web, ours is not poisonous, but I guess it's only a matter of time till your Funnel Webs come down our way........ these were washing out from under a co-workers floor during a flood.

These are quite large and you are instantly filled with fear when you see the size of the dang thing, especially when you get a close look at those fangs! ........ Skippy (Australia)
